Northern provides residence halls on its El Rito campus, and daily transportation is available, at a reasonable fee, to the Espanola campus. Living quarters in the residence hall are available to students enrolled for at least nine credit hours on a first-come, first-served basis determined by the date of the receipt of the security deposit.
The College operates the residence halls on a self-supporting basis, with all charges paid in advance of service. Published rates are, therefore, subject to change if necessary to meet operating costs. The Administration reserves the right to reassign students within the dormitory if occupancy problems make such action necessary.
Student housing is available at Northern's El Rito Campus. Both the single and double rooms are available on a first-come, first serve basis. Single rooms are available only as space permits. Some rooms have private bathrooms. Dormitory furnishings include single beds, dressers, desks, lamps and chairs. All rooms in the south dorm are equipped with telephones and a high-speed internet connection. Students should plan on bringing pillows, blankets, sheets and other personal items. Lounges in the south dormitory now have Cable TV and internet access.
The dormitories have limited kitchen facilities, and students will need to bring their own cooking and eating utensils. Full-time dorm residents are required to purchase the 5-day meal plan in the cafeteria.
The college has limited accommodations for married couples or for students with children. Therefore, students who desire such housing should consult the classified section of the local newspaper.
