THE NOYCE NSF SCHOLARS PROGRAM

The Noyce NSF Scholars Program at Northern New Mexico College is funded by the National Science Foundation to recruit students pursuing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) degrees, and Career Changers who hold a BS in a STEM Field, to teach science or math in grades 7–12.

By encouraging talented STEM students and professionals to pursue teaching careers in secondary schools, this program responds to the critical need for teachers of STEM subjects in grades 7–12 and will increase the number of teachers with comprehensive knowledge of STEM content.
