Director of High School Equivalency Program (HEP)
(HEP) is a U. S. Department of Education grant providing educational supportive services to students or whose families are engaged in migrant or seasonal farm work enabling them to complete their GED. Will administer/manage program in accordance with Northern and U. S. Department of Ed guidelines/regulations. Ensure program goals and objectives are met. Develop, administer and manage program budgets. Research, write, prepare and submit all U. S. Department of Ed, Office of Migrant Education reports and grant proposals. Establish specified and measurable goals, objectives and outcomes to be achieved. Establish procedures/practices to meet annual performances objectives and established/required program goals. Oversee database system including student info, budget and reports. Screening, training, direction and evaluation of highly knowledgeable staff that is sensitive to the unique characteristics and needs of farm worker population. Develop coordination of numerous College resources made available to HEP. Develop effective working relationships with other HEP projects nationally. Develop, promote and maintain necessary coordination among college staff and student organizations on continuous basis to accomplish goals of program. Develop/maintain appropriate staff relationships among key College administrators/staff. Create student recruitment packages, including: a) application, b) brochure and c) flyer. Develop job descriptions for program positions. Oversee students’ overall academic progress; meet regularly with staff. Develop evaluation tools to assess feedback from students, faculty, staff, collaborating agencies and other Northern programs. Meet regularly with students throughout enrollment period for assessment. Be familiar with College’s admissions requirements, procedures, and curriculum standards. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in Education and/or Social Science. Five years work experience with farm worker student population and/or with other diverse non-traditional populations. Five years management experience. Proven successful grant-writing and grant management management. Knowledge of federal grants regulations. Excellent organizational and planning skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. SALARY: $48,000. Director-Integrative Health Studies Program (tenure track) Duties include responsibility for day-to-day operation of the Integrative Health Studies (IHS) program, supervision of faculty, teaching in the IHS program, student advisement and mentoring, developing curriculum, student learning outcomes assessment activities, participation in department and college committees, and serving the community through outreach activities. The successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to educational quality and professional development. SALARY: $56,396.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D./doctorate in health care related field. Teaching and administrative experience at the college level is highly desirable. Open until Filled.

Director - RN to BSN Completion Program (tenure track)
Responsibilities include coordination, implementation and administration of a new and innovative RN to BSN curriculum with a holistic/integrative nursing care focus. Duties include teaching, implementation of curriculum in manner congruent with theoretical framework of program, participation in college committees, supervision of faculty, scheduling of classes, student advisement, program evaluation, and leadership for national accreditation activities. Minimum Requirements: Masters degree in Nursing and a Doctorate in any field. Current license to practice as RN in New Mexico or compact state required. Three years full-time teaching experience in a nursing program and knowledge of Baccalaureate nursing programs preferred. Applicant must embrace the philosophy of holistic/integrative nursing practice. Advanced certification in holistic nursing desired. Eleven month position available August 2008. Salary Range: $70K to $75K Open until Filled.

Part-time Faculty Positions – Art, Music, Dance and Theatre: The Department of Fine Arts is seeking applicants for adjunct faculty in the areas of Art, Music, Dance and Theatre. In studio arts of particular interest are applicants to teach watercolor, life drawing, micaceous pottery and matting & framing. In the performing arts of particular interest are applicants to teach acting, light & sound and stagecraft. MFA in area preferred.

Qualifications:
Master’s degree required in the specific discipline. Exception will be if the individual has 18 semester hours of graduate course work in the discipline. Vocational courses require either a certificate or licensure in the specific vocation.
Salary:
Part-time instructors are paid on the per credit hour basis. The credit hour rate depends on the educational level of the individual. Example: Master’s degree teaching one three credit hour theory course will be paid $1,939.26 per semester ($646.42 per credit hour); Bachelor’s degree teaching one three credit hour theory course will be paid $1,809.50 per semester, etc. Classes usually meet two or three times per week for total time of one hour and a half. Lab classes may meet for a longer period. (Note: The rate is higher for Instructors with MA and Ph.D. degrees teaching upper division courses.)
Effective Date:
As positions become available throughout the academic year including the summer semester. Fall semester is from mid August to mid December. Spring semester is from mid January to mid May. Summer semester is usually from early June to end of July.
