To Australia and Beyond

Spaceward Bound is a NASA-sponsored educational program.

Participants are students and teachers who join expeditions to remote and extreme terrains on Earth that are analogous to the surfaces of Mars and the Moon. The program aims to train “the next generation of space explorers,” who are now in middle school. (Perhaps the next Friday Academy can take a very long field trip.)

Filmmaker, Canal Seis Producer, and Environmental Science student Danny Valerio joined the expedition to Pilbara, in North West Australia.
